It’s OK to want to talk about postpartum weight loss 🫶 

A common message we receive from new mums is that they want to lose weight after having a baby but feel ashamed to say it. This saddens us because we know the importance of a healthy, happy mum.

Of course, backlash against mums posting rapid weightloss pictures postpartum on social media and messaging about mums “snapping back into shape” should be supported

BUT while this extreme is one side of the argument, the other side is that women who feel ready to prioritise their health and self confidence are being shamed when they admit that weightloss or fitness is something they want to achieve 

The more we create this tabbo around the topic of postpartum weight loss, the more we see women embark on dangerous fad diets or extreme exercise regimes to achieve it

The more open we are to the topic of postpartum weight loss, the more we can support women safely on their journey without fear or judgment 🙏🏻

Tips you need to know when moving house with young kids - save for later! 🏠 

1️⃣ Pack the toys when they are in bed, then hide the boxes - every time I tried to pack with Roman he just unpacked them

2️⃣ Show them pictures of the house before you move and talk about how you are all moving to a new family home together to help them understand and eliminate fear

3️⃣ Have a box with familiar things ready to unpack when you arrive - favourite toys, a blanket, the bowl they are used to. Having familiar items from the start helps them to feel home comforts in a new space (without having to route through boxes trying to find them)

4️⃣ Keep to your usual bedtime routine as much as you can for the first few nights and have the same nightlight (or something familiar from their previous room) in the room they are sleeping in so they feel at home.

5️⃣ Make the first few days all about family! 
Explore the house together, enjoy the new space, and don’t rush to spend all your time unpacking. Save the unpacking for the evening or a few days down the line.

Lets face it, it’s not easy BUT if you are desperate to fit some exercise back into your life then using nap times can be SUPER empowering 

However, if you only have 30 mins then there are a few little secrets that can help you make that nap-time workout a success

1. Change into your full gym kit before you put baby down so you don’t waste time doing it while baby is napping
2. Have everything you need laid out - water, sweat towel, exercise mat etc
